Hall Garden Volunteers meet first Saturday of the month at 11am for an hour or so to keep the garden at the end of the hall, looking tip top.

Like plants the group has been growing this year from two when the project started  to nine gardeners.

In 2022 the garden has been transformed thanks to this willing band – the fence and arch between the graveyard and garden was rotting and listing precariously. A bit of loving TLC has seen the arch restored and reinstated. The overgrown churchyard grass area strimmed and cuttings removed which will improve biodiversity and provide a meadow. The Parish council donated a bench – and all 3 benches have had a coat of preservative. A bespoke bug hotel  designed and made by hall neighbour Ciaran has been installed.

The garden is now a buzz with volunteers, plants and wildlife alike!

All welcome - Just turn up with tools and help us keep on top of weeds, prune fast growers and plant up beds.  Donations of plants always welcome – in particular succulents/low maintenance/drought tolerant plants

We will continue through the winter including sorting out the compost area and we plan on visiting Wites Well which is very overgrown again.
